Minor boy drowns while taking bath in Pattan

Baramulla:  A 12-year old youth drowned while taking bath in a Sukhnag in Singhpora pattan in north Kashmir’s Barmulla district on Wednesday.

Locals told Good Morning Kashmir that Irfan Ali Dar, son of Shabir Ali Dar, a resident of Malikpora Sumbal drowned in a Sukhnag in Rambail stream while he was taking bath today afternoon.

Soon after the news spread, hundreds of locals, assembled at the spot while teams of police local and 29 RR administration immediately started an rescue operation to retrieve the body of the deceased, they said.

Police said  that the said boy drowned in Sukhnag stream at Rambail Singhpora pattan were the deceased was talking bath along with other local boys.

He said that after conducting all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites.

Police has once again requested parents to keep close vigil on their minor Son’s and not to allow them for bath in such type of ponds, rivers were there is threat to their lives.
