round twenty-six shops were gutted in a midnight blaze at Babareshi in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The shops in the shopping complex, within the shrine premises, got damaged in the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday, officials said.
The shop owners told Good Morning Kashmir that the fire broke out mid night, damaging at least twenty-six shops belonging to civilians.

“Whatever the stock accumulation was done in recent days, has turned into ashes and nothing belonging to the owners could be saved,” said one of the shop owner.
He also said that as of now, “we are not being informed about the actual cause of the fire.”
Meanwhile, a concerned police official told Good Morning Kashmir that details related to the incident are being gathered and will be shared later accordingly.
