345 Polling parties dispatched for phase-V in Anantnag

For phase-V of the District Development Council (DDC) elections and Panchayat/ULB by-elections, the District Administration Anantnag today dispatched 345 polling parties along with election/poll material to the designated polling centres.

Under this phase, polling will be held for Vessu (Comprising of Vessu & Qazigund blocks) and Dachnipora DDC seats, Panch and Sarpanch vacancies (where ever necessary) in these blocks and ULB vacancies (where ever necessary) in Qazigund Municipal Committee on 10 December, 2020.

Meanwhile, District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) Anantnag, K.K. Sidha, along with ADC (S) (Dy. DPEO) reviewed the arrangements and Basic Minimum Facilities (BMF’s) in the Polling stations.

The DPEO exhorted for facilitating every basic amenity in the Polling stations so that voters as well as polling staff may not face any kind of inconvenience and all the necessary arrangements in this regard have been put in place.
