head of International mother language day, Adbee Markaz Kamraz has decided to celebrate the function at large scale this year.
The day is observed on the 21st of February every year to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism.
In a statement issued here, Adbee Markaz Kamraz President, Mohd Amin Bhat said, “As you know international mother language day is being celebrated on 21st of Feb 2021 (Sunday). It is the first mother language day after Kashmiri language has attained the status of official language and Adbee Markaz Kamraz has planned to celebrate it at large scale.’

“The main event in this regard is holding of a workshop for Kashmiri script writing in collaboration with Kashmir Press Club on 21st Feb, Sunday 11.30 am at Press Club Srinagar for working journalists who despite earning their livelihood through the medium of other languages have always remained on forefront to promote and preserve their mother tongue ,Kashmiri, which is the foundation of our unique culture,” Bhat said.
According to Adbee Markaz Kamraz President, the total duration of the program will be less than 2 hours.
