Alleged fake encounter in Shopian: IGP says police team left for Rajouri to check call details of trio men

Srinagar: Inspector-General of Police, Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Thursday said that a police has left for Rajouri to complete the legal formalities related to the three men killed in alleged fake encounter in Shopian last month.

Talking to the reporters at SK Stadium in Srinagar, IGP said police had already taken the DNA samples of all three slain.

“A team headed by Deputy Superintendent of Police rank officer has left for Rajouri to complete the legal formalities,” IGP said.

Earlier, the families of trio men had filed a missing complaint in Rajouri and have claimed that the trio men killed in alleged fake encounter in Shopian are their kins.
