” To read is to empower
To empower is to write
To write is to influence
To influence is to change
To change is to live. “

ooks are the things which have been chiefly instrumental in elevating the mankind to the glorious position he is holding right now. Books are the most valuable and precious treasure in the world , as they are packed with knowledge, life lessons, love, advice and insights into a meaningful life. when we open abook , we simply open a new world. I believe that books are inevitable to mankind , Without Books it is impossible to have proper knowledge of our past ancestors and civilizations, philosophers, thinkers and great minds of all ages, simply we would have been grouping in dark without having company of such sages of the past through their scripts. It is hard to even imagine what the hell life without books would have been.
Books have been leading humanity to outmost success and have indeed a great role in moulding our destiny. When we read books , we get into company of the noblest and finest minds of all ages . Books enrich our minds by providing the capableness of judging between right and wrong and courage to follow the righteous path , in short one can say books prove to be the best and lifelong companions.
Books contain the great wealth of human experience and transmit it to the generations leading them forward on the path of success . Therefore book reading is the most beneficial and fruitful practice undertaken by man in all ages. They bring us in contact with the great men and thus is an easiest possible way
to benefit from the valuable sum total of the law and journey of mankind through all ages. That is why books are considered to be perennial treasures of ever increasing value.
The difference between the stone age and the current technological age is to the credit of books and books alone.
Unfortunately it seems that man has not visualised this importance of books despite having benefitted from them so profusely . This is perhaps the most abhorrent negligence committed by man having undervalued the importance of such a bounteous gift. The technological advancement and explosion of electronic media has served a death blow to the Habit of book reading , casting the man away from this repository which has so far enriched him considerably . The busy life style and desire for ready made information has dissuaded the readers from reading books that is why we see a n unpleasant shift from the readers going to book shops and libraries to e-reading.
Every body can feel the difference between
the two and we don’t have the same kind of broadening of vision as the books would provide. We simply get information rather than forming a disposition.
People engage themselves continuously with social media and online games resulting lack of motivation and interest in reading books as first hand source of knowledge. The exorbitant prices of books also can be a cause of waning interest of the readers towards books and the resultant macabre shift towards e-books.
This negative trend of readers has adversely affected the attainment of proficiency in different languages and cultural exchange. The enormity of this problem demands multiple line approach to cure this social
malaise. The global nature of the problem entails the intervention of world body to inculcate and revive this virtuous habit among the masses as is being done in the case of other issues of cosmic nature. A partial response to this problem will not set the matters right
