Bandipora: Bandipora police on Monday launched an intensified mass destruction drive of Bhung (cannabis) and other narcotic cultivations in Hajin Bandipora in collaboration with Excise department.
Police party Hajin under the supervision of DySP Hajin and SHO police station Hajin along with team of Excise department destroyed Wild Bhung cultivation in Chandargeer area of Hajin and continued in near by villages also.

Meanwhile, Police urged community members to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood.
Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law, Police said.
