Clashes broke out near the site of a gunfight between the militants and the government forces in Srinagar district of Central Kashmir on Wednesday.
Three militants have been killed in a gunfight underway in Hokersar – HMT area of the Srinagar district, Police said.

Reports said that youth took to streets in Hokersar, soon after the gunfight resumed today. They said the forces resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, Three militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces in the area today morning, police said.

Government forces launched a cordon and search operation at Hokersar area on Tuesday evening after receiving specific information about the presence of militants there, a police official said.
He said the search operation turned into an encounter after militants fired upon a search party of the forces, who retaliated.
