Coronavirus: 24-year-old woman among two die in Kashmir; J-K death toll mounts to 162

Srinagar: Two more COVID-19 patients from Anantnag and Srinagar districts respectively died at a hospital in the capital city, taking the number of people succumbing to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir to 162 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Health officials said that 24-year-old woman from Hakura area of the south Kashmir’s Anantnag district died at SMHS after testing positive for coronavirus. The lady had a cesarean delivery at LD on June 27, from where she was referred to SMHS on July 3 with hypertension and other ailments, they said.
The woman died at the Hospital late Friday evening.

While as, the elderly man from Hyderpora, Srinagar was very sick and was on a ventilator in the IDB block at SKIMS and died today morning. “Patient was a case of Carcinoma Urinary Bladder and had Bilateral pneumonia with ARDS,” health officials said.

With these deaths, 162 people have died so far due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir.
