New Delhi: India on Tuesday recorded nearly 48,000 new cases and 654 fresh fatalities. With this, the India’s tally is now 14,83,156 and death toll stands at 33,425.
In Kashmir, Four more persons who had tested positive for COVID-19 died on Tuesday.
The four deaths include a 60-year-old woman from Nowhatta, a 62-year-old man from Batamaloo, a 59-year-old man from DH pora Kulgam and a 75-year-old man from Noorbagh.

According to health ministry, More than 5 lakh daily tests have been conducted for two consecutive days in India. On July 26, India tested 5,15,000 samples and on July 27, as many as 5,28,000 samples were tested.
The global coronavirus count has now gone up to 1.64 crore while the toll has crossed 6.52 lakh, according to the Johns Hopkins University. More than 95.25 lakh people have recovered.
