Coronavirus: JK reports 68 new positive cases

Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday informed 68 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 18 from Jammu division and 50 from Kashmir division,  thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 125783.

Moreover, 70 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 23 from Jammu Division and 47 from Kashmir Division.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 125783 positive cases, 700 are Active Positive, 123129 have recovered and 1954 have died; 725 in Jammu division and 1229 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 4993409 test results available, 4867626 samples have been tested as negative till 20thFebruary, 2021.

Till date 1257447 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 34046 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 700 in isolation and 108874 in home surveillance. Besides, 1111873 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 26742 positive cases (including 24 cases reported today) with 317 Active Positive, 25964 recovered (including 20 cases recovered today), 461 deaths; Baramulla has 8180 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 39 Active Positive, 7966 recovered (including 06 cases recovered today), 175 deaths; Budgam reported 7851 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 41 active positive cases, 7691 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 119 deaths; Pulwama has 5829 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 42 Active Positive, 5698 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today) and 89 deaths; Kupwara has 5672 positive cases with 04 Active Positive, 5574 recoveries, 96 deaths; Anantnag district has 4980 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 35 Active Positive, 4859 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today), 86 deaths; Bandipora has 4709 positive cases with 16 Active Positive and 4631 recoveries, 62 deaths; Ganderbal has 4664 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 23 Active Positive, 4594 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 47deaths; Kulgam has 2717 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 12 Active Positive, 2651 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 54 deaths while as Shopian has 2597 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 24 active positive cases, 2533 recoveries and 40 deaths.
