A CRPF man was injured in an accidental fire after his service rifle went off accidentally at Nagam area of Budgam district on Friday early morning.
A police officer said that the CRPF officer posted with C-Company of 117 BT namely Rajesh Kumar sustained bullet wound in his leg. “The incident occurred while he was cleaning his service rifle,” he said.

Kumar, as per the official was immediately taken Army Hospital Srinagar where his condition is said to be stable.
He said that police has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigations in this regard.
