Economizing the expenses: JK Bank stops physical printing of diaries, calendars

In a first Jammu and Kashmir Bank will roll out digital calenders and dairies this year to economizing the expenses.

According to the bank, no calenders and diaries in hard form will be printed for the upcoming year [2021].

“The Bank has been distributing Calender’s and Diaries to the customers and the general public for decades so far which has created a special emotional connect between the bank and customers,” reads a circular issued by J&K Bank.

“With the digitalization of various functional areas of our daily life post Covid-19 pandemic. , the Finance ministry vide their office memorandum dated 02-09-2020 directed all government organizations including banks to opt for digital Calender’s and diaries w.e.f 2021 for economizing the expenses, wider reach and efficiency.”

The circular further reads; ” The digital Calender’s shall be rolled out in the due course of time which shall hopefully receive as much applaud and acceptance from the people as has been with the physical form so far.” Adding that all staff members are advised to communicate to the public the initative taken by the bank for digitalization of calenders from 2021 to align with the aforesaid change for strenghthening the decades old emotional capital of the bank with the general public.
