The favoritism, nepotism and undue interference has put a question mark on PRO office of Kashmir’s lone super-speciality hospital Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences.
Instead of issuing ads to known newspapers, which have a better professional standing, the PRO wing of SKIMS is busy in issuing ads to newspapers which are known to their officials.
Sources said that the ‘untouched’ officers in PRO section of SKIMS have created a strong ‘lobby’ and are busy in issuing advertisements on bases of favoritism and nepotism.

“The PRO office is issuing advertisements to newspapers, who have personal touch with them,” official sources said on condition of anonymity.
Director SKIMS, A G Ahanger, when contacted, said he will look into the issue, and told this reporter to contact him on Monday morning.
The newspaper owners urged director SKIMS to issue Advertisements based on marks obtained by the publication, instead of favoritism.
