I am a Kashmiri Pandit, who has been fooled by government and his own community for past 30 years with the dream of coming back to my homeland, but alas, i had to struggle my own way to become an active part of my homeland.

Now that I am here, and I look back and I see how much we as a community have been used, abused and literally being made beggars in our own country.

We were told that our safeguard is outside Kashmir but after settling down here, I realised that we are being used for vote bank politics and then beg infront of our own country for our rights.

Let’s look back and understand few logical and factual aspects, for our basic rights, right from 1990, the moment we were exiled of Kashmir we had to struggle as to whom to approach for our basic rights. The so called leaders of our community were busy settling their own scores and if approached the leaders outside Kashmir we aren’t a priority as we are told that we don’t vote them and whosoever our votes go to, we gotta discuss our concerns with them. This is still the scenario after 30 years.

It is high time that we stop fooling ourselves & our community and stop getting used. Either we be together in rebuilding ourselves or be as we are scattered.
If we have issues pertaining to kashmir, it needs to be solved in Kashmir with the people of Kashmir and not with Delhi, Mumbai, or via debates in studios of news channels that too by people who left valley way before exodus.

Either we understand it now or never.
