Government Forces on Tuesday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in a village in Central Kashmir’s Budgam after receiving inputs about the presence of militants, official sources said.
They said on a tip off about the presence of militants, soldiers from 53 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Yarikhah area of district.

During the search operation, door to door searches were conducted and the identity cards of the people were checked.
“The operation is continuing. So far, there is no trace of militants,” a police official said
