The authorities on Friday ordered winter vacation in all the Educational Institutions upto the Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division from December 21 till February 28.
An order issued by Administrative Secretary School education department said, “ It is hereby ordered that all the Government Educational Institutions including recognized Private Schools upto Higher Secondary Level functioning in the Kashmir Division and winter zone of Jammu Division shall observe winter vacation w.e.f 21u of December, 2020 to 28 of February, 2021.”

It also states that the winter tutorials for 11th and 12th standard and online classes shall be held by strictly adhering to the SOPs of COVID-19 issued by the government.
“Any default on part of the Head of the School(s) in observance of the calendar and SOPs of Covd-19 shall attract strict action under rules,” the order added.
