Srinagar: Gulmarg and other upper reaches received fresh snowfall while skies were cloudy in plains in Kashmir valley on Friday, resulting in chilly weather conditions.
The MeT Department has predicted widespread rains, snowfall in the Valley and Ladakh on Monday and Tuesday.

“We expect a feeble Western Disturbance to affect Jk on December 7 as a result of which we are expecting light rain, snowfall in plains of Kashmir and light to moderate snowfall in the higher reaches, ” MeT officials said.
Much to the delight of the tourists, Gulmarg, received a brief spell of light snowfall in the afternoon, resulting in further dip in the maximum temperature. Kongdori and Apharwat, the highest point of the cable car project in Gulmarg, also received light snowfall.
