Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested three Ramban residents along with a “heroin-like substance” in Banihal.
The trio as per the police identified as Tanveer Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad Choudhary, a resident of Banihal, and Uzair Ahmed Dar, son of Abdul Majeed Dar and Adil Ahmed Dar, son of Mohammad Sharief Dar-both residents of Darpura area of tehsil Banihal- were apprehended during routine checking at main market Banihal by a police party from police Station Banihal led by Inspector Wasim Mehraj, a police handout said.

In this connection, police has registered a case FIR No. 17/2021 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act at PS Banihal and investigation has been taken up.
