The armies of India and Pakistan on Wednesday exchanged heavy gunfire along line of control (LoC) in Karnah sector of frontier Kupwara district.
A senior police officer said that the Pakistan army initiated an ‘unprovoked’ ceasefire violation today by firing mortars and other weapons.

“The Indian Army gave a ‘befitting’ reply to the fire,” he said.
As per reports no one was injured during the cross border shelling.
