ome years ago if the teacher was considered to be the pioneer of the society responsible for shaping our future generations. This thought has been somewhat dented over the period of time and the circumstances. The advancement in this field of education has brought with it both good and the ugly, and the noble cause which was the basic ingredient has taken a back seat and money minting and large scale commercialization has taken over giving it a bad name. In old days, the relationship between teacher and student was sacred, bond of knowledge, and cohesiveness of intellectuality. But now it is a very ambitious goal. In many parts of the countries, too many are left behind by not having access to school or learning the basics. Of the 121 million out-of-school children and adolescents in low- and middle-income countries, one-sixth of children did not complete primary school and one-third of adolescents did not complete lower secondary.
In old days, the mentors were imparting holistic education to their disciples selflessly or by levying minimal charges. Education is a right of every child. It’s not merely about enrollment in a school, rather it is providing quality education there, involving a procedure that is not as simple as we’ve taken it. Education is hope for millions to make a quality change for generations to come. A living with ignorance is living life nothing more than that of an animal. So, the disciples were trained in all sorts of essential aspects of life , skills not merely for professions or earning rather enabling them to challenge the difficulties of life. As a result, the parents of disciples were well convinced about the doctrines, methodologies of mentors who were really shaping the right minds of their disciples . The doctrines comprised of both corporal as well as intellectual training. The said ancient academic scenario was found during the periods of kings , emperors. Later on, it took a drastic change with the flow of time. Many schools, colleges & universities were set up to impart various courses namely vocational, legal, medical, agriculture, engineering etc to aim at making the students job ready.
