Traffic will ply from Jammu towards Srinagr on Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only road link connecting Kashmir with the outside world, on Saturday, the officials said.
“Tomorrow (20 February) subject to fair weather and better road condition only one way traffic shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar including Banihal-Ramban (local traffic) on Jammu-Srinagar highway,” traffic officials said, adding, “fresh perishable carriers shall be allowed in the opposite direction subject to fair weather.”

According to communiqué, Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will be allowed from Jakheni Udhampur towards Srinagar after Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs).

Meanwhile, Mughal road, connecting Shopian and Poonch districts, also remained closed due to the snowfall. Srinagar-Leh highway has been officially closed on the orders by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir on 30 December.
