Even as telecom companies are in stiff competition to score point over one another by providing effective service to the consumers, Jio continues to suffer frequent snags and fibre cuts in the city.

The residents of Lal Nagar, Chanapora area of Srinagar city complained that their pleas have not so far received any consideration by the Jio customer care despite repeated requests made to the field staff and the designated authorities regarding restoration of Jio fiber in the area.

“There seems to be some cabling problem since City received seasons first snowfall, the matter ought to have been sorted out by the company but it seems they are more eager to shift blame rather than resolving the issue, ” said Suhail Iqbal, a businessman, whose work depends on Internet.

Users on Twitter have been tagging the JioCare Twitter handle to complain about the fiber disconnection. They say that Jio Fiber is not working since five days.

However, despite repeated complaints Jio authorities are letting their customers suffer by not making any effort to repair the Jio fiber in the area.

“Basically, a lot of users depend on the Internet all day for working from home and now online schooling is also getting affected these days due to non availability of service,” Suhail said.

Jio Care is asking most of the users to DM their Jio Fiber service ID and registered number to help them assist with their problem. But nobody from the ground staff has been asked to visit the area, to restore the service.

Scores of Jio subscribers who had contacted Jio customer care are disappointed due to the poor service of Jio.

The subscribers said that if the services remain affected and complaints unresolved in the area, they will be forced to move any other network.
