Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday announced a major economic package for revival of economy in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a press conference here in Srinagar, Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha nnounced a package of 1350 crore rupees for the revival of business sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sinha said that the government has decided to give 5% interest subvention to every borrower from business community at every level for six months.
He said it is not that the business of J&K has suffered for the past one year or so but the fact remains that for the past 15 or 20 years, every sector has suffered losses.
“Govt is putting Rs 950 crore for this. 50% concession in electricity bills and govt is putting Rs 105 crore in this,” said LG Manoj Sinha.
“I feel pleased to announce a package of 1350 crore rupees for the revival of business sector in J&K,” LG Manoj Sinha said.
