Most of the plain areas in Kashmir experienced fresh snowfall on Monday early morning, even as the higher reaches witnessed heavy precipitation.
The famous ski-resort of Gulmarg, in north Kashmir,also recorded fresh snowfall during the night, while Pahalgam tourist resort in south Kashmir, recorded 10 cm of snow, the official said.

The meteorological department had forecast low to moderate snowfall in Kashmir up to Tuesday.
