Srinagar: Aggrieved KCC loan applicants at Gadmdoo area of Sonawari belt today staged protest against Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch manager for allegedly harassing them to provide guarantees and not getting desired services.

The aggrieved KCC loan applicants were demanding immediate transfer of the branch manager for the smooth service of the branch.

The protesters alleged that, the said bank manager is unnecessarily harassing them to provide guaranters, which according to protesting KCC applicants is not a criteria for getting the said loan sanctioned.

The aggrieved protesters also alleged that the concerned manager is providing loans to a selected number of people, who are either influenced or have been providing money to get their cases done.

“It is very saddening that a customer who needs to be respected is being let down by this manager. The employees of said Jammu and Kashmir Bank branch have not been transferred since seven years and are not treating customers professionally,” said on of the protester on conditions of anonymity.

When contacted, the concerned branch manger, he said that, “I am not authorized to speak to media.”

The concerned branch manager asked this reporter to contact higher-ups of Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

Meanwhile, the KCC applicants appealed higher authorities of Jammu and Kashmir Bank to take action against the branch manager, and demanded his immediate transfer.
