LAWDA conducts demolition drive, warns against illegal constructions

In continuation to its demolition drive, the Enforcement Wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today demolished several illegal constructions in Khushipora Teilbal, Bagh-i-Roop Singh Miskeen Bagh, Lone Mohalla Nowpora and Lal Bazar.

During the drive one block, one single storey house, two plinth blocks and one second single storey, that were raised illegally in the prohibited areas were demolished / removed on the spot.

Meanwhile, people residing within the LDA jurisdiction & in lake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.

Moreover the Tipper/Load carrier owners are directed not to carry / ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without getting permission and in case anybody found shall be dealt as per law.
