he students of different schools of Shahr-e-Khaas (Old Srinagar city) participated in the ‘Educational Theatre Workshops’, EDRAAK – organized jointly by TFR (Theatre for Kashmir) and EDRAAK (Educational Revival through Arts & Aesthetics in Kashmir).
The workshops focused on the creative learning among young impressionable minds and evolving their skills while creating individual spaces for them to think out of the box.
The work of dozens of participants, through their creativity, exhibits multi-dimensional aspects of city life. It includes the photographs, paintings, calligraphy and plays. People who visited the phase I first of the exhibition appreciated the “well organised event”.
The large number of visitors including art lovers from different areas of Srinagar appreciated the exhibition’
“This entire initiative has pit me at a loss of words. To allow these children to express themselves in the form of art is simply outstanding,” said one of the visitor. Adding that it was a creative initiative to encourage the kids to reach their full potential.
The workshops concluded with an exhibition, which travelled around participating schools.
