Srinagar : An earthquake jolted Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir valley at around 4:17 PM on Thursday, but there was no report of any casualty, officials said.
Residents ran for safety as doors and windows of buildings rattled due to the quake.

They said tremor was mostly felt in Central Kashmir, particularly in areas surrounding City. “There were no reports of any loss of life or damage to property due to the earthquake,” they said.
