Missing driver’s family stages protest, seeks govt’s help to trace him

Srinagar: Family members of a missing driver staged a protest demonstration at Press Enclave here, appealing authorities to help them in tracing him.

A resident of HMT Khushipora area of Srinagar district, the driver, Ghulam Rasool Wani has been missing since 24 July, said his family members.

The family members who were carrying placards, said on July 24, Wani left for jogging around Sharifabad area of HMT.

“When he didn’t return home, we went to ask the people residing in the locality, but nobody provided us any clue about him. He is untraceable since and we are moving from pillar to post to find him,” they said.

Wani’s relative said he would always help others. “He wasn’t having enmity with any person,” she said.

Meanwhile, the family members of Wani had sought intervention of authorities in tracing their him.
