uslims in Pombay area of Kulgam district on Thursday came out of their homes and ferried firewood to help in the cremation of a Sikh man.
As per the reports, Surinder Singh, died in Pombay village of the district on Wednesday after a brief illness and his last rites were performed on today.

The local Muslims organised and performed the last rites of the deceased and mourned his death as one of their own. He was cremated at Pombay.
The local Muslims also shouldered Surinder Ji’s coffin and arranged wood for his cremation.
“We feel we have lost one of our own. He was just like an elder brother and I used to take suggestions from him,” a local told GMK.
