Jammu: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the recent encounter at Nagrota in Jammu region in which four Jaish militants were killed by police, officials said on Friday.
The agency took over the case following a notification issued by the Centre.
The case was reportedly handed over to the anti-terror probe agency following a notification issued by the Central government. It is also probing another encounter at the same spot that took place in January.

Four militants were killed on November 19 in Nagrota area in an operation by the police.
The NIA probe will try to ascertain the planning and final objective of the four JeM militants and the people with whom they were in touch with in Jammu and Kashmir.
