tatehood of Jammu and Kashmir will be restored after delimitation and election process concludes, said Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on November 30.
“Only Parliament can restore statehood. Both the prime minister and the home minister have spoken on this issue in detail in Parliament and to the country,” Sinha reportedly said on the sidelines of his interaction with industry, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir’s department of industries and commerce in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Kolkata.

“They (prime minister and home minister) have clearly stated that after the delimitation process concludes, polls will be held and statehood will be restored,” he said.
