hird year (6th semester) students from Govt Boys Degree College, Baramulla on Wednesday demonstrated against the “out of syllabus” Statistics question paper.
The students complained that their paper was not in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by the varsity.
While talking to Good Morning Kashmir, students said that after appearing in the examination of Probability and Statistics (PST-616) paper on 5th February, the questions posed in paper were very difficult, not picked as per the prescribed syllabus.
“Probability and Statistics paper is one of the optional subject of Statistics subject. But we were shocked to see almost 80 percent question were out of the syllabus, and rest of the question were very difficult,” said a group of students from Govt Degree College Baramulla. Students accused the KU authorities of playing with the career of students.
When contacted, Controller Examination University of Kashmir, Prof. Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo, said that “students should lodge their complaint officially and we will look into the matter and take necessary action.”
