The Pakistan rangers on Wednesday late evening violated ceasefire along the LoC in Mankote sector of Poonch district, officials said.
Official sources said that the Pakistani army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation on late Wednesday evening by firing small arms and mortar shells.

“The intense unprovoked shelling was retaliated befittingly by the Indian Army,” officials said.
There were, however, no immediate reports of any loss to life or property.
