he Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested three militant associates of banned militant organization LET/TRF involved in Palhalan grenade attack that took place on 17.11.2021
In a statement Police said that joint parties of Baramulla Police, Army 29 RR and 2nd Bn SSB while on patrolling in the area established MVCP/ naka at Wussan Pattan in morning hours, 3 individuals were spotted moving towards the naka party in suspicious manner. On spotting the Naka, these individuals made a run for it through the adjacent fields but were tactfully apprehended by the party. These persons were identified as 1. Asif Ahmad Reshi S/O Nissar Ahmad Reshi, 2. Mehrajudin Dar S/O Sonaullah Dar, and 3. Faisal Habib Lone S/O Habibullah Lone, all residents of Gund Jehangir, Hajin, District Bandipora.

They said that upon sustained interrogation and technical leads the three were found to be OGWs / militant associates of banned militant organization LET / TRF involved in Palhalan grenade attack that took place on 17.11.2021 in relation to which FIR 327/2021 of PS Pattan under relevant sections of law stands registered.Upon their disclosure two grenades were recovered.
The statement further stated that Investigation has further revealed that the accused persons were given instructions by the militants across the border and aim behind the attacks was to create an atmosphere of fear & chaos and to draw reaction against Kashmiri Youth outside UT.All leads are being chased as further investigation is underway.
