The residents of Gurgaddi Mohalla, Zaina Kadal of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district are up in arms against the Power Development Department (PDD) for failing to repair their damaged transformer.
The residents alleged that the authorities are ignoring them at all fronts.
“Our area is reeling under darkness from last two days. The transformer developed technical snag but unfortunately, the authorities are yet to repair it,” they said.

“The transformer is under repairmen since Sunday. We don’t know how many more days it will take them to repair the transformer,” said a local resident of the area.
He said despite repeated requests and reminders the concerned authorities have not reinstalled the transformer in the area.
They appealed higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievance at the earliest so that the area could heave a sigh of relief.
