Uri village without road
We the residents of Bajard Mohala, Zamboor Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Uri want to put in a kind notice of the authorities that in the 21st century we don’t have road connectivity and the irony is that we have to walk through thick forests to reach the village. To carry critically old persons on shoulders or pregnant ladies on a palanquin is now a routine task for us. One cannot imagine the hardship being faced by us. We request Deputy Commissioner Baramulla to bring this road under any plan so that people in the area wouldn’t face problems anymore.
Mohd Iqbal Badhana, District President, All India SC/ST/ OBC Unit Baramulla
The taps in the locality of Rajerwani village of Tehsil Uri are running dry for the past several days. Despite taking up the issues with the Jal Shakhti authorities, people continue to suffer. Authorities have failed to supply water and we have to fetch water from other places to use it for drinking and cooking. We urge the concerned authorities to issue direction for early redressal of our problems
