Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Police on Friday arrested two drug peddlers from Awantipora area.
In a statement issued here to Good Morning Kashmir, a police spokesman said that acting on information, Police Station Awantipora placed a special Naka near Toll Plaza Awantipora and arrested two drug peddler identified as Mohd Amin Wani, a resident of Zaffron Colony Panthachowk, and Asif Ahmad Reshi, a Reshimohalla Tral.

The arrested two persons were travelling in a vehicle which was signaled to stop and during search 16 Kgs Cannabis and 250 grams of Charas was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the vehicle.
According to Police, a vehicle (BMW) bearing registration number HR10R -0010 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a Case FIR Number 17/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
