Police stops PDP protest, detains leaders

Srinagar : Police on Thursday stopped protest of Peoples Democratic Party against “detention of political prisoners”.

The party claimed that, police detained several leaders of the PDP.

Taking to their Twitter handle, the party said, “Police stops peaceful protest of @jkpdp leaders against the detention of political prisoners, the harassment of youth, the gag on media & rights violations.
Police has now detained PDP leaders Rouf Bhat, Hamid Qousheen, Shanti Singh, Arif Laigroo & Mohd Amin.”
