Hundreds of people participated in the funeral of slain Personal Security Officer (PSO) Manzoor Ahmed at his native village Nagam, Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday.

Manzoor was seriously injured at the residence of PDP leader Haji Pervez Ahmed at Natipora, Srinagar early morning today, after militants fired several bullets at him. He later succumbed at a hospital.

Locals at Nagam said that Manzoor was a lone bread earner for his family. The locals said that Manzoor was very noble and death is a big shock for them. “He has elderly parents, who have no source of income. They are helpless now,” the locals said.
