Army on Wednesday once again launched a cordon-and-search-operation at Rawalpora village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Reports said that on receipt of specific inputs, a team of Army’s 34 RR launched searches this afternoon at Rawalpora village of the district.
As per the locals, all exit points were sealed and house to house searches launched.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) ‘commander’ Sajjad Afghani was killed in the encounter in same village, earlier on Sunday.
Afghani and a local associate, who was killed on Sunday, were encircled by the security forces on Saturday evening at Rawalpora area.
