nion Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah took a dig at the Congress on Saturday over the issue of ‘dynastic’ politics.
While addressing a parliamentary constituency booth presidents’ convention here, the visiting leader said, “I was a booth worker and rose to occupy the position of party president. This is possible only in the Bharatiya Janata Party. In other parties, you have to either have a certain family background or be prosperous.”
Highlighting the Narendra Modi government’s schemes, Mr Shah emphasised the Prime Minister’s global popularity – something radically different from the position of “Rahul baba”.
“Poverty alleviation could not be achieved during Congress rule at the Centre,” he said.
Mr Shah explained the role of the ideal party worker and dwelt on the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
