he Jammu and Kashmir administration on Friday declared five more localities of Srinagar city as “micro-containment zones” following spike in Covid-19 cases.
According to an order issued by the Srinagar administration, Six more localities include Reshi Mohallah near Muskaan Resorts Abi Nowpora Kohan Khan, Sonwar, Khashkhash Bagh near Central Jail Rainwari, Khimber Reshi Pora near Bus Stop, Jabeen Guest lane near Abdullah bridge Rajbagh and Majeed Bagh Ganderpora Eidgah.
As per the officials, these localities would remain under strict lockdown and tight perimeter control, except for essential services.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 1937 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) 846 from Jammu division and 1091 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 156344. Also 19 Covid deaths have been reported, 13 from Jammu Division and 06 from Kashmir Division.
