Traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway remained closed for the second consecutive day on Monday after heavy rains and snowfall in the Banihal section, leaving thousands of vehicles stranded at various places on the route, officials said.

The traffic on the highway was suspended on Sunday early morning after fresh snowfall near Jawahar Tunnel.

“Highway is closed. There have been landslides at various places of highway”, a traffic police official said.
