he Srinagar-Jammu highway shall remain closed for vehicular traffic today on Wednesday in view of the prevailing inclement weather conditions, officials said.
A communique issued by J&K Traffic Police informed that no traffic shall be allowed on the highway from either side in the wake of the inclement weather prediction by the MeT Department.

Due to landslides, triggered by rain at Magarkote near Ramsu, traffic on Srinagar-Jammu national highway was suspended on Tuesday, a traffic official told Good Morning Kashmir. Adding that the NHAI has pressed into service sophisticated machines and men to clear the landslides and put through the traffic. The weather has improved and traffic could be restored as soon as green signal is received from NHAI and traffic police officials posted at different places, he said.
Meanwhile, the MeT department has forecast rains and snow across J&K till today afternoon in view of a fresh western disturbance.
