The Los Angeles Rams’ Van Jefferson had many reasons to commemorate on Sunday. Not just did his team win the Super Bowl, but his wife gave birth to their second child. His wife Samaria was 40 weeks pregnant, reportedly fled midway through the game on a stretcher. Jefferson who is a wide
receiver became a dad of two on the same night when his team won Super Bowl LVI. In spite of being 40 weeks pregnant, Samaria was wanted to watch her husband, play at the big game. Jefferson is Samaria high school sweetheart. She told the Athletic, “Just like any other game, I’m going to bethere this Sunday and I’m going to keep calm and pray to God my water doesn’t smash. I am 100% moving to be there. I would not miss this moment for anything.” She reportedly said the Rams that if she did go into labor during the game, she didn’t wish her husband to know. She told him;
I’ll see you at the hospital afterwards. Hey, you go play. We’ll see you after.” And that’s really what happened. During the game she took off into labor, but Jefferson proceeded to play. After the Rams won, Jefferson’s father arrived on to the area with the 25-year-old’s daughter and they hurried out of the stadium to rush to the hospital.
Van Jefferson grabbed his daughter as she and his dad came into the field and sprinted through the locker room and is heading to the hospital right now. Samaria, his wife, is having their son and was rushed to the hospital mid-game as she went into labor.
