Teenage girl dies in road accident in south Kashmir

A teenage girl was killed in a road accident at South Kashmir’s  Awantipora on Monday.

Official sources said that a speeding truck hit a scooty in Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, resulting in on the spot death of the pillion-rider.

“After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for the last rites,” officials said.

They said police have registered a case in this regard  and initiated investigation into the incident.
