Traffic to remain suspended on Sgr-Jmu NH for four days in Dec

Srinagar : The authorities on Thursday said that the vehicular movement in Srinagar-Jammu National Highway will remain closed  for four days in month of December for maintenance and undertaking  repairs.

The decision as per the authorities was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of chief secretary on October 10.

“In continuation to the minutes of the meeting dated 13.10.2020 held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, it has been decided to keep 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th December 2020 as traffic dry day on NH-44 for undertaking major repairs and maintenance of road surface, sliding zone and shooting stone areas by NHAI,” reads the communique issued by Deputy director PWD department.

“Accordingly, I am directed to request you to kindly advise concerned traffic officers/officials to notify the same for public information and facilitate NH works,” it reads.
