Kulgam: Barely two days after her marriage, a newlywed bride died of cardiac arrest in Kulgam district of South Kashmir.
The tragic incident occurred in Frisal village of Yraipora area of the district, where a newlywed bride dies of heart attack on Saturday morning.
Identified as Firdousa Akhtar daughter of Abdul Rehman resident of Redwani village of Kulgam was married only two days ago and was in her in-laws house, when she complained of acute chest pain.
According to local news agency CNS, she was immediately shifted to the hospital, where from she was referred to Srinagar by the doctors.
As she was being rushed to Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), but before reaching there she succumbed to the attack.
On her arrival at SKIMS, she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
Police officials said that according to the prima facie, it looks that Firdousa died of natural death, after suffering a massive heart attack; it has taken the cognizance of the incident and a case in this regard has been registered in the concerned Police Station and the matter is being investigated, to rule out that there is no other reason responsible for her death.
